Mouth Ulcers are a common condition and can occur when you accidentally bite your skin in your mouth or tongue. Sometimes it is badly fitting dentures that is the cause.
Occasionally they just appear for no apparent reason
These are self limiting and clear up in one to two weeks.
Evans Pharmacy recommends Iglu as it provides a protective layer across the mouth ulcer. An alternative to this are Hydrocortisone Lozenges which are placed near the ulcer and speed up the healing process.
If mouth ulcers haven't healed after three weeks, then further advice should be sought.
