Hello, my name is Emma. I am a pharmacist independent prescriber and the clinical services director for Evans Pharmacy.

I am currently providing NHS treatment and prescriptions under the NHS independent prescriber pilot. Our model in Nottinghamshire includes on-the-day illness. I can prescribe on the NHS for conditions including chest infections (over 12s), winter illnesses such as sore throat and sinusitis, ear pain and discharge in children and adults, skin infections (cellulitis, shingles, impetigo, infected bites, infected eczema), new-onset skin conditions such as eczema flares (over 12s), and uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women aged 16–64 — and more.

Please ask our staff how I can help you — you can book directly with the pharmacy and do not need to go through your GP. I can also provide NHS treatment for contraceptive pill checks and emergency contraception, and private treatment for hay fever, malaria prevention, travel vaccines and medicines, other vaccines and weight management.

My usual days of work are Monday and Thursday. When I am not working for Evans Pharmacy, I am a tutor for the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education at the University of Manchester, where I am interested in training pharmacists to prescribe, urgent care and contraception.

Hello, my name is Jon. As well as being a pharmacist I am manager for this branch and line-manage our branches in Ruddington and Newark.

Our pharmacists can provide NHS treatment for impetigo (aged 1+), infected insect bites (1+), earache (1–17), sore throat (5+), sinusitis (12+), urinary tract infections (women 16–64) and pill checks. I can also provide private treatment for malaria prevention and travel medicine, and erectile dysfunction.

You can book online or phone the pharmacy if you can't see the service or time you'd like. As both a pharmacist and a resident of East Leake, I am passionate about providing the best possible service for residents. When I'm not working, I enjoy being a Grandad, playing golf and watching the cricket.

Izzy graduated from Nottingham University in 2009 and undertook her pre-registration training at East Leake, qualifying in 2010. As a newly qualified pharmacist she spent six years on the relief team gaining experience in various community pharmacies within the company, and is now based permanently at East Leake as second pharmacist.
