Intertrigo is a condition that commonly affects the folds of the skin including armpits, groin and under the breasts.
Its main cause is a fungi, and the rash can get incredibly itchy and sore and keeps on getting bigger. It is particularly worse when the person is hot in bed.
The best treatment is an anti fungal, with a mild steroid such as Daktacort HC and to continue for at least 7-10 days after the rash has disappeared.
