NHS flu vaccines available from our pharmacies from 15th September

We are able to provide free of charge NHS flu vaccines for those in NHS priority groups. We expect our vaccine stock to arrive from 15th September 2018. You can contact one of our pharmacies to reserve your vaccine now. We can offer this efficient service at a time that is convenient to you.

People at risk of complications of flu entitled to a free NHS vaccine from one of our pharmacies

The NHS recognises that the following groups are at greater risk of complications for flu infection. We can offer people in these groups an free NHS flu vaccine in any of our pharmacies:

  • Over 65s
  • People with lung conditions, including COPD and those who take preventative medicines for asthma
  • Those with heart disease
  • People with liver disease
  • People with stage 3,4 or 5 kidney disease
  • Those with diabetes
  • People with a weakened immune system due to disease or medicines
  • People with a body mass index of over 40
  • Pregnant women

Carers, care workers, nursing home staff and social service staff entitled to a free NHS vaccine from one of our pharmacies

If you are an unpaid carer in receipt of a carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an older or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill, we can offer you a free NHS flu vaccine.

We can offer health & social care staff, employed by a registered residential care/nursing home or registered domiciliary care provider or a voluntary managed hospice provider, who are directly involved in the care of vulnerable people who are at increased risk an NHS  flu vaccine.

Private flu vaccine

If you are not in one of the above groups then we can offer you a private flu vaccine at a fee of £12.
